Your child’s lesson will last 25 minutes and will take place in our backyard pool at 4370 Woodbine Lane, Prosper, TX 75078.  There are 4 lessons in each session during the week and we will reserve Saturdays for rain make-up lessons. The class will consist of 2 children and 2 instructors…with one on one lessons. Often times, the instructors will switch kids mid lesson to work on different skills. (delete this last sentence) The other instructors are all either current or past varsity Prosper High School swimmers who have experience in teaching lessons either at Texas Ford Aqautics or Prosper Aquatic Center.

You are welcome to stay for your child’s lesson, but please note that often children will do better if the parents are not there. It is important that your child learn to trust the instructor without running to you when asked to do something they are a little afraid of doing. We need them to understand that swimming lessons is 25 minutes of learning time with me (delete with me) & that they can’t run to you when they don’t want to doing something. Tuesdays are most often the hardest day for younger children so expect a few tears & look forward to Friday when they will be much more confident in their abilities. They often need a day or two to “trust” me as I am asking them to do something they may not be completely comfortable doing…like putting their whole face in the water. The last 15 mins of class on Friday is a “show time” where your child will be excited to demonstrate everything he or she has learned. Again…the choice is completely up to you!!
