My first swim lessons were at the Murray Callan Swim School in San Marcos, CA when I was only five months old. By seven months, I was getting toys off the bottom of the pool with my instructor.
My mom was a competitive swimmer and I have always been around the water. At the age of five, we moved to Frisco, TX and I joined the Frisco Area Summer Swim Team. This was my first introduction to an actual swim team and I loved it. At the end of my first summer season with FASST, I went to the TAAF Texas State Games and actually qualified for nationals. I continued swimming through my youth while trying other sports (soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball and lacrosse), but I always ended up back in the pool. In the 6th grade, I decided to focus my energy on competitive swimming and joined the Texas Ford Aquatics club team. Through the years, I also swam for Metro and Select club teams.
During high school, I made the varsity swim team at Prosper High School as a freshman and swam all four years and played water polo for three years. I was also a volunteer swim coach for my first swim team, FASST. In addition, I am infant and adult CPR certified, as well as Lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross and Atlas.
In 2020, I was introduced to the sport of water polo and I fell in love! It took all my other skill sets that I learned in team sports and basically dropped them into the water. It was the perfect fit for me! I played club water polo with Texas Mavericks for four years and was also selected to compete on Southwest Zone’s Olympic Development Team for two consecutive years. Today, I am still playing competitive water polo as a freshman at Florida State University. I am majoring in Finance and also a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
I believe that swimming is a life-long sport and I have a passion for teaching children to swim, but more importantly, to be safe around the water. Drowning is the number one cause of death in children 1-4 years of age and the 2nd in ages 5-14. My goal is to introduce my love of swimming to them and get them comfortable and safe in the water! I am committed to providing the highest level of swim lessons for your children.
